Thanksgiving in Orlando at Gaylord Palms Resort

This year, we’re taking a break from cooking.  Instead, we’re heading over to the beautiful Gaylord Palms Resort in Kissimmee, FL, just outside of Orlando.  We have made day trips to Gaylord Palms Resort several times over the years to visit their signature holiday event, ICE!  The incredible Christmas decorations are already up and ready to be enjoyed by Thanksgiving, which makes this trip even more magical.

Since no Thanksgiving would be complete without an amazing meal, we’ll be dining at the newly reimagined restaurant, MOOR.

MOOR specializes in regionally-inspired dishes with a focus on seafood, but like most restaurants on Thanksgiving, it will offer seasonally themed menu items as well.

One of the most spectacular features of the Gaylord Palms Resort is its highly themed and landscaped atriums.  On past trips, we’ve spent hours just wandering through each area, admiring the decorations and the plants.

Who knew that dining out for Thanksgiving in Orlando could be so special?  Between the gourmet restaurants, elaborate holiday decorations, ICE, and the atriums to explore, Gaylord Palms Resort has so much to offer.  If you’re spending Thanksgiving in Orlando, whether as a local or as a tourist, you’ll find a lot to enjoy here.

After my Thanksgiving trip to the Gaylord Palms Resort, I’ll be sharing my own first-hand experience and photos of the resort and our restaurant, MOOR.  Stay tuned for an update after Thanksgiving.
