Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar plus 2 tablespoons
  • 1 pinch sea salt
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup crushed Oreo cookies or more if desired

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the milk, sugar, and salt until the sugar is dissolved.
  2. Stir in the heavy cream and vanilla.
  3. Cover the bowl and place it in the refrigerator for an hour or two, or overnight.
  4. Process the mixture in your ice cream maker. When the ice cream is ready, stir in the crushed Oreo cookies.
  5. Serve immediately as soft ice cream or freeze for firm ice cream.
