2cupswater
8green cardamom podscracked open
1cinnamon stick
4black peppercorns
2slicesfresh ginger
2piecesstar anisetwo whole star shapes
2teabagsblack teaor two servings of loose black tea
Milkto taste
Sweetenersuch as Truvia Spoonable, to taste
Instructions
Bring the water to a boil in a pot. Add the spices and the ginger and remove from heat. Let steep with the lid on for 10 minutes.
Bring the mixture to a boil again and add the tea. Remove from heat, put the lid on, and steep for 3 to 5 minutes, depending on how strong you like your tea.
Add about two tablespoons or so of milk to each of two mugs. Strain the tea and pour it equally between the two mugs. Add sweetener to taste and serve hot.
