Yogurt Toppings Inspired by American Favorites

When you add a little fun, eating better can be a joy.  My New Year’s resolution is to keep on enjoying deliciously appetizing foods that are better for you.  These yogurt toppings paired with FAGE Total 2% Greek Yogurt make that resolution easy to keep.

The fun begins when you get inspired by favorite American flavors like apple pie, peanut butter and jelly, oatmeal raisin, ginger spice, and vanilla latte.  Each tasty flavor combo is carefully recreated as a yogurt topping with simple ingredients that you can keep in your pantry.  When paired with rich, creamy, all-natural Greek yogurt like FAGE Total 2% Greek Yogurt, each bowl becomes a protein-packed powerhouse that’s also a good source of calcium.

I first discovered FAGE Total 2% Greek Yogurt when I was looking for a plain Greek yogurt to use for a recipe.  It worked so well that I started incorporating it into all kinds of recipes, both sweet and savory.  Now my whole family enjoys it as much as I do, and it’s become an integral part of many of our meals because it’s both flavorful and satisfying.

FAGE Total 2% Greek Yogurt is Non-GMO Project Verified and has no added sugar (it contains just naturally occurring milk sugar).  Its only ingredients are milk and live active yogurt cultures, making it the simple, wholesome choice to pair with toppings.  All the yogurt topping combination ideas are included in the printable recipe card below.

1. Peanut Butter and Jelly

Adults and kids alike enjoy this combination of peanut butter, jelly, dried strawberries, peanuts, honey, and FAGE Total 2% Greek Yogurt.  Adjust the balance of jelly to honey for more or less fruity flavor.

2. Vanilla Latte

Perk up with a shot of espresso, a drizzle of honey, and a few drops of pure vanilla extract.  If you don’t have an espresso machine at home, you can easily make instant espresso instead.

My favorite would be no 5 – apple pie, topped with dried fruits and some maple syrup will never go wrong.

I absolutely love Greek yogurt but I only eat it if its mixed with something so these options are perfect for me. The peanut butter and jelly one sounds delicious. I’ll have to try it!

We don’t have FAGE here in Canada. But the recipe looks very tasty and it is worth a try. I will try this recipe this weekend and surprise my wife with the special dessert.
