Is your outdoor thermometer steadily climbing upward?  Are you breaking into a fine sweat—or should I say glow—when you step outside?  Hot weather is on its way, having already made an early stop at my home here in the heart of Florida.

Keeping cool and taking it easy are real priorities when the weather gets warm.  That’s why I like this lemonade iced tea recipe; it’s just the right amount of sweetness with a whole lot of flavor.  Plus, I can grab a Bob’s Better Bar to go with it and have a lovely little snack and beverage right on my breezy back porch… or wherever I may go!

These bars come in an assortment of delicious flavors, like Peanut Butter Jelly & Oats, Peanut Butter Apple Spice & Oats, and Peanut Butter Banana & Oats.  I like to throw a few in my purse and carry a big to-go cup of lemonade iced tea when I hit the road.  I can run errands, go to dance class, zip into the city, or cruise over to the beach (with my colorful beach towel, of course), all while staying hydrated and satisfied.

The trick to making the absolute best lemonade iced tea is to avoid dilution.  By using freshly brewed tea as the base of the lemonade, rather than just mixing pre-made lemonade with iced tea, there’s no dilution at all.

You get a perfect combination of full strength tea and full strength lemonade, which is delectable.  It gives you the option of adding ice without watering it down completely.

You can use regular black tea, if you like, or switch it up for decaffeinated black tea to dial back its energizing effects.  I’m all about flexibility for dietary needs, which is one of the reasons I dig that Bob’s Better Bars are Certified Gluten Free, whole grain, kosher, and Non GMO Project Verified.

Can you use Splenda? I was told to cut back on sugar.

Yes, definitely. Adjust the measurement of sweetener to suit what you’re using.
