I get my daily vitamin C by making this refreshing vitamin C drink with Emergen-C, tea, fresh lemon juice, and fresh rosemary. It’s easy and delicious!
Vitamin C Drink with Tea, Fresh Lemon Juice, and Fresh Rosemary
It’s back to school time.
I know, I know. You want to either run and hide under the blankets, or you want to dance in the streets. And, sometimes, it’s a little of both.
I’ll admit to being in the “a little of both” camp. I will miss having everyone at home during the summer. Those lazy days of sleeping in and hanging out are hard to let go of, and for that reason, the end of summer can be a bit sad.
On the other hand, I’ll be able to take advantage of a quieter house to catch up on work (and maybe, just maybe, a little reading).
As everyone heads out of the house and out into the world, they’ll not only be interacting with new people, but running into some new germs as well. Bummer.
I think that’s one of the reasons I get a little nervous about back-to-school time. I dread the reappearance of all the illnesses, big and small, that get brought home from school and work.
That’s why I’ve come up with a refreshing drink to help keep us feeling great. It’s made with lemon, rosemary, and tea (three of my favorite ingredients), plus a packet of Emergen-C.
Emergen-C is packed with B vitamins, antioxidants†, electrolytes plus more vitamin C than 10 oranges^. With over 20 flavors, you have plenty of delicious varieties to choose from.*
You can pick up Emergen-C at Walmart in the pharmacy area.
While you’re there, grab a couple of ChapSticks. You’ll love them for their excellent qualities, such as these:
- Softens and protects lips every day with 11 moisturizing ingredients.
- SPF 12 provides UVB protection.
- Hydrating formula contains aloe and vitamin E.
I chose cherry flavor.
Then you’ll be all set for going back to school!
Tips for Making a Vitamin C Drink
- You can use any kind of tea that you like for this drink. Black tea, green tea, herbal tea, or flavored tea all work well.
- There are many varieties of Emergen-C, so you can pick your favorite. I chose Super Orange to have a citrus flavor alongside the fresh lemon juice.
- If the drink is too strong, you can dilute it to taste with water.
- Double the recipe to make enough for two.

I swear by Emergen-C. It’s with me all of the time…in my purse, my backpack and at all of my events. I travel 175+ days a year, so it helps me ward off all the germs I get on planes and in hotels. When I do get a little sick, I swear it helps me to get better faster. I am a big tea drinker, alas, I’d skip the rosemary…but I’ll toast to back to school with this as I’m dancing in the streets! 😉 HAHA did I just write that?

I never tried the Emergen-C. It seems great to make it into a tea. Vitamin C and lemon helps to make a person get better when sick. I would like to try Emergen-C. Thanks for sharing your tip.

I have been hearing a lot about the Emergen-C supplement. I would like to try it as I am not good with remembering to take my supplements though.
Thanks for sharing your recipe for a vitamin c drink

Katie, I’ve never thought to add a sprig of rosemary to a drink- it’s fantastic! My neighbor has a tall bush that’s always needing pruned. I generally don’t use Emergen-C unless it really is, but I’ve enjoyed the orange flavor. Had no idea that they made 20 flavors! Time to go shopping because my family’s been sick for almost a week now.

I am a huge believer that Vitamin C is an absolute cure all! This drink looks so super refreshing and would be great if you had a summer cold. Thank you for the idea!

I do need more Vitamin C, as does my family. We tend to have drainage more than I care for. We tried this a few years back, but didn’t make any variations to it. Adding tea might sell it for me.

I love lemon in my water but never have tried yet the rosemary or mixed with Emergen-C. However I would like to give it a try especially on fall and winter. I can easily catch colds even how hard I try not to be too exposed with cold.
